No. The recordings, book discussions, and courses offered through A Novel Therapy are designed for educational and reflective purposes. Although discussing stories can feel therapeutic, these offerings do not constitute psychotherapy and are not a substitute for professional mental health treatment. Participation in A Novel Therapy programs does not establish a therapist–client relationship with Dr. D.

In addition to her work with A Novel Therapy, Dr. D is also a fiction writer. She recently completed her debut novel, the first book in a mythic fantasy series inspired by Irish folklore, which is currently in the editing process.
